Bush Bash ’18
Annual identity and merch. Freelance work, summer ’17–’18
Bush Bash is a live music and arts gig on a nature reserve in Wellington City. After a couple of successful years, the owner wanted 2018 to be a bigger, better version with effective promotional materials. I’d been to the event before and used this experience to fuel my design process. The people are welcoming and relaxed, while the lineup is varied and energetic. The final designs are drawn from foliage collected on-site. They represent the verdant event space and the community bringing it alive.
The lineup featured nine bands, including ONONO and Earth Tongue, and a poetry reading by Hera Lindsay Bird. News of the event spread primarily through Facebook, with 4.2k interested in attending. The location was only revealed to those who bought tickets.
